Definition of color wheel

color wheel
1.  A number of cardboard or plastic cards held together by a wire or bolt; each card carries a different color and an identifier for that color in a particular color matching system. A color wheel is useful for comparing the actual color represented within the color matching system to the color displayed on a monitor or physical layout.
